Emile Hirsch

Emile Hirsch

I’ve got a feeling I’m not the only one in awe of Emile Hirsch’s raw talent in movies … He’s broken through with amazing performances in two brilliant biopics and has been tons of fun to watch in mainstream and independent flicks alike. Personally, I think his attitude is what makes me like him even more … he just seems to be extremely laid-back and in search of a good time … I like the actors who don’t think they have to save the world, rather enjoy their life instead … Nevertheless, here are some of Hirsch’s best movies to check out!

Mia Wasikowska in 'Alice in Wonderland'

Mia Wasikowska in 'Alice in Wonderland'

I’ve been looking around for news about upcoming flicks and I finally saw some pictures from the new Alice in Wonderland and I’m so freaking excited! Mostly because Tim Burton is directing the film and he’ll probably turn the classic into something truly creepy and supernatural … plus, it’s gonna be partially in CGI … the combination of live-action and animation is gonna be pretty freaking cool. Megan Fox & Shia LeBeouf in 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'

Megan Fox & Shia LaBeouf in 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'

Going into this film I totally thought they were going to fuck it up … you know, make it over-the-top and cheesy … but, I loved it! The acting was spectacular, the action was exciting and the storyline was intriguing … I don’t think there’s much else a film needs to succeed in my book … especially when it’s a “Summer Blockbuster” and a fan-boy’s wet dream (I’m not one, but I know plenty of them). 'So You Think You Can Dance' logo

This week counts as a massive improvement from last week. I enjoyed the majority of the performances this week and they really stepped up their game … considering last week was such a bummer.

I’m not going to bullshit around, I loved the routines Randi Evans & Evan Kasprzak, Kayla Radomski & Kupono Aweau and Melissa Sandvig & Ade Obayomi performed during tonight’s show. Read the rest of this entry »

Haaz Sleiman & Edie Falco in 'Nurse Jackie'

Haaz Sleiman & Edie Falco in 'Nurse Jackie'

Sure … dick shots, verbal diarrhea and tons of sex command the Showtime network … and, you know, with all those great aspects aside … the channel produces some of the best, thought-provoking and provocative programming on this side of the pond.

About two weeks ago … the Edie Falco drama Nurse Jackie premiered with great success … The drama follows the life of Jackie Peyton … a fucked-up, but genius nurse with back problems who juggles a shit-load of crap at a New York City hospital including incompetent doctors, forging names on organ donor cards, student nurses, flushing an rapist’s ear down the toilet and the mass of other problems that pass through hospital doors on a daily basis.

I don’t think many nurses have the guts to do half the shit Jackie does … but it sure makes for great television.  Read the rest of this entry »

Amber Tamblyn & Jeremy Renner in 'The Unusuals'

Amber Tamblyn & Jeremy Renner in 'The Unusuals'

This may be old news for some, but since I watch all my television on DVR … it’s news for me … I just found out that ABC is cancelling one of my favorite new television series The Unusuals. To be frank … this fucking sucks! Without a doubt, anytime I get attached to a series that is dramatic, thought-provoking, entertaining or appealing … it gets thrown off the air. Jack Black & Michael Cera in 'Year One'

Jack Black, Juno Temple & Michael Cera in 'Year One'

I had extremely high expectations for this film … mostly cause Jack Black and Michael Cera are hilarious. Sadly … Year One was kind of a letdown. Honestly, I could have waited until the film came out on DVD and got those few chuckles from the comfort of my own couch. Read the rest of this entry »

Ryan Reynolds & Sandra Bullock in 'The Proposal'

Ryan Reynolds & Sandra Bullock in 'The Proposal'

I went to a midnite showing of The Proposal tonight and it was freaking hilarious … I loved it a lot more than I thought I would. Going into the movie … I totally thought that the commercials for the film were going to be the only funny moments … but I laughed the entire way through. Read the rest of this entry »

The Top 18 performances this week were not at the same level (in any form) as last week. It was kind of distressing to see them do such a good job last week and suck this week.

Come on … I’m especially aggravated by the hip-hop routines. The four they have had this season have all blowed … and they usually are some of the most memorable routines out of the entire season. I would blame the dancers, but the routines seem bland and recycled from past shows. Read the rest of this entry »

Today, I saw the award-winning musical Wicked at the Majestic and I fucking loved it!! That’s right, I didn’t just love it … I fucking loved it! I’ve only been able to see Chicago and The Phantom of the Opera on-stage, but I adore anything that has to do with Broadway. The musical centers around telling the ‘untold stories’ of the witches of Oz. Read the rest of this entry »

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer in 'True Blood'

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer in 'True Blood'

“True Blood’ is finally back on-air with their second season kicking off … I may have had to watch the first episode boot-leg off the Internet, cause I don’t have HBO … but, I must say, it was a spectacular start. I forgot how much I love Anna Paquin in this series and the complex stories the show brings to the small screen. Read the rest of this entry »

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone magazine

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone magazine

Adam Lambert … of American Idol fame, unless you’ve been living under a rock … recently graced the cover of iconic music rag Rolling Stone. I gotta say, with last month’s crazy-sexy Lady Gaga cover and this week’s Lambert “Liberation” cover … I have re-grown faith in this magazine. Lately, it’s been a fucking bore and I’m grateful the music magazine is getting edgy and interesting again …

Nevertheless, Lambert comes out as a homosexual in this issue … as if that’s a huge shocker … but, I think it’s pretty damn cool to “come out” in Rolling Stone opposed to People like Clay Aiken and Lance Bass. This kind of gives him a little more credibility in my opinion. Read the rest of this entry »

'So You Think You Can Dance' logo for Fox

'So You Think You Can Dance' logo for Fox

My favorite summer show is back on … I know it’s a reality show, but come on … at least this one has talented people and not a bunch of sluts and douches.

For me, what sets So You Think You Can Dance apart from Dancing with the Stars or America’s Best Dance Crew is that it’s not one-note. There is a wide-range of dances and the majority of them are emotional and exciting to watch. The men of this season have caught my attention … a big shocker, cause most of the time the men are pain-stakingly annoying. Read the rest of this entry »

Mock set-up

Drawing of Heidi & Spencer from http://www.splashgossip.com

I do not understand why these two disgusting body sacks are even allowed on television. They are officially done with I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!, though I’m unaware of why they were even given a chance to return to that poor excuse of a reality show.

Now that they returned and left the show (again) Heidi is at the hospital with a gastric ulcer from their “isolation” as punishment for leaving the show … which was characterized as the same as “Guantanamo Bay.” I’m sure the prisoners really appreciate the comparison …

Oh, and now, they are suing NBC over what has happened … seems to me like they are fishing for more money. It may be mean, but I’m just fed up with everyone giving these “celebrities” more than their 15 minutes of fame.

Their whole spiel on how they are both huge celebrities and too good for the show is ridiculous … You douches were on some crappy MTV-scripted reality show that no one really even cared about. You’re neither talented in voice or acting ability and the majority of people in the business think you’re a fucking joke. Please, stop wasting my time and just disappear back into normality.

By the way, I applaud Janice Dickinson for saying Heidi sounded like a drowning cat when she sang, but why on Earth did you apologize?!?

**Watch the NBC Today Show clip where Al Roker totally rips into Heidi and Spencer for being the poster children for everything that is wrong with celebrities today … Love it, you rock Roker!
