Today, I saw the award-winning musical Wicked at the Majestic and I fucking loved it!! That’s right, I didn’t just love it … I fucking loved it! I’ve only been able to see Chicago and The Phantom of the Opera on-stage, but I adore anything that has to do with Broadway. The musical centers around telling the ‘untold stories’ of the witches of Oz. Read the rest of this entry »

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone magazine

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone magazine

Adam Lambert … of American Idol fame, unless you’ve been living under a rock … recently graced the cover of iconic music rag Rolling Stone. I gotta say, with last month’s crazy-sexy Lady Gaga cover and this week’s Lambert “Liberation” cover … I have re-grown faith in this magazine. Lately, it’s been a fucking bore and I’m grateful the music magazine is getting edgy and interesting again …

Nevertheless, Lambert comes out as a homosexual in this issue … as if that’s a huge shocker … but, I think it’s pretty damn cool to “come out” in Rolling Stone opposed to People like Clay Aiken and Lance Bass. This kind of gives him a little more credibility in my opinion. Read the rest of this entry »

Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin photograph by Matt Jones

Anna Paquin has got to be one of the most talented actresses of this generation. A modern interpreation of 'Diana & Actaeon' featuring Kim Cattrall.

A modern interpretation of 'Diana & Actaeon' featuring Kim Cattrall.

Kim Cattrall’s body has become well-known to many Americans on both the big and small screens, especially with her role as cougar-siren Samantha Jones on the hit television show Sex and the City. However, instead of using her sexuality to spike ratings, she hopes to save Titian’s “Diana & Actaeon.”

Photographer Tom Hunter uses Kim to muse Diana, a strong and powerful woman, and the members of La Clique and art history students from the Courtauld to portray Actaeon and the nymphs in his interpretation of the famous painting. Although nudity, in my opinion, has been frowned upon by many Americans … I frankly, don’t see what the problem is … Read the rest of this entry »

Kate Winslet spread in Vanity Fair magazine.

Kate Winslet spread in Vanity Fair magazine.

So … there I am scanning Wal-Mart’s so-called book and magazine section (it’s quite pathetic) and all I want to purchase is the latest issue of Vanity Fair, which has uber-talented actress Kate Winslet gracing its cover in nothing but a white coat and stilettos… Read the rest of this entry »
